People ask what “style” of yoga I teach and although I know exactly what they mean, I still find it hard to answer. I trained with International Yoga Teachers Association (IYTA) which is pretty broad and generic. I’ve dabbled in many styles since, and have also completed training in Pilates and Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction. I have been a health professional for my entire life. For the past 30 years I have been involved in education roles (nurses, personal trainers, midwives and doctors). I am also a mother and this experience has considerably added to my life’s learning. So I guess my “style” is an accumulated blend of¬†everything I have done over the years.

As well as teaching Yoga and Mindfulness meditation, I work part time as a Professional Practice Fellow at the Dunedin School of Medicine _/\_

The qualifications that support my teaching are:

Yoga Instructor (International Yoga Teachers Association New Zealand)

Pilates Instructor (Polestar Pilates NZ Ltd)

Registered Nurse and Nutritionist

I also have specialist qualifications in:

Yin Yoga (Bernie Clarke, Vancouver, Canada)

Prenatal, Postnatal and Mums & Baby Yoga (Ana Davis, Bliss Baby Yoga, Byron Bay, Australia)

Yoga Nidra (Ashram Yoga, Auckland, NZ)

Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) – (Mindfulness Training Institute Australasia)
